I am a therapist, rule breaker, care taker

My mission is simple yet profound: to make natural, practical, effective healing resources accessible to everyone — regardless of psychiatric labels or complexity.

anneke sips

Navigating psychiatry as RN and therapist, Anneke now amplifies transformation in this field by connecting with others who are willing to open up to explore and experience a wider spectrum of possibilities in the field of healing and health. Her work bridges psychiatry and embodied healing — exploring the deeper layers of human consciousness through an integrative and relational lens. Known for her grounded presence and clarity, Anneke supports individuals, families, and professionals worldwide in learning to meet altered states and lived experience with steadiness, dignity, and discernment. She lives on the Dutch coast with her daughter and two cats.

Anneke is a community psychiatric nurse and integrative trauma therapist with 28 years of experience in crisis care and mental health. Trained in the Krishnamacharya yoga lineage under A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan in Chennai, India, she pioneered the integration of yoga into psychiatric settings. She is a founding member of the Global Consortium of Yoga Therapy and has collaborated with the Dutch Ministry of Defense, UMC Utrecht, and Arkin Amsterdam. Wisdom of Psychosis is her first full-length book.

what I believe

Sensitivity is not a weakness to be managed — it is medicine to be understood. The experiences psychiatry calls symptoms often carry intelligence. Healing is not about returning to who you were — it is about becoming who you were always meant to be.

What guides this work

Nature. Rhythm. Dignity. Ancient wisdom meeting modern science. The body as teacher. Safety before depth. Presence over protocol.
